Attached Hot Tub

The Benefits Of An Attached Hot Tub

Adding an attached hot tub to your in-ground swimming pool is an option to consider in new construction, or you can have one added to your existing pool. At Hawaiian Pool Builders, we want you to be informed about the benefits of an attached hot tub.

Based on your personality and your lifestyle, installing one is a smart decision for a variety of reasons. It’s a great way to wind down by yourself or enjoy a night with your friends. You can enjoy the hot water, soothing massage, and invigorating hydro-therapy provided by the jets.

Most in-ground attached hot tubs have a spillway, and the water from the hot tub overflows into the pool. This makes it easier to control your water level in both your pool and hot tub. It also helps your attached hot tub stay cleaner, as it is constantly circulating and overflowing into the pool.

You can control the attached hot tub using the existing in-ground swimming pool equipment and a multi-function control system. This allows you to use the spa independently of the pool, or use both pool and hot tub at the same time. They can share the same pump, filter and heater. Automatic valves allow you to click a button to isolate the hot tub piping. You can, of course, connect the attached hot tub to a separate pump, filter and heater system if you so choose.

Take a look at our hot tub gallery and you’ll see that nothing enhances the design and functionality of your swimming pool quite like a hot tub. With the right design, a hot tub can transform your in-ground swimming pool and outdoor living space into your own private oasis to enjoy whenever you please.

One of the more popular features of a spa is what’s known as a spill-over spa.  It’s simply a structure built adjacent to your in-ground swimming pool that incorporates a waterfall design that literally spills over into your swimming pool, hence the name. Spill-over spas can be built as part of an entire pool construction project or as part of a swimming pool/hot tub renovation plan.

Many people like to have the spill-over spa jets in areas where they work on the upper back and shoulders as well as the lower back. Having jets installed in the floor of the spa will also help ease away tensions in your feet while you have a soothing hot water soak.

There’s no limitation on your imagination when it comes to hot tub design. You’ll be pleasantly surprised that adding an attached hot tub is not as complicated as it may seem. Stop by our show room or call and make an appointment with one of our professionals to discuss your hot tub addition.
